Programme Overview
The investment banking industry in India has been growing rapidly, contributing to the country’s high GDP growth rates and creating opportunities in the sector. To understand the workings of this industry, a programme has been designed to examine its structure, management, and practices within the Indian context. It aims to contextualize and consolidate the learnings in advanced corporate finance that includes higher maths, economics, corporate valuation and mergers, acquisition, and corporate restructuring.
The IIM Kozhikode’s Investment Banking Programme is aimed at providing participants with the necessary theoretical and conceptual tools used by investment banks, enabling them to analyze the primary line of businesses of investment banks, appreciate the peculiarities and challenges of the industry, and develop an understanding of corporate finance, including higher maths, economics, corporate valuation, mergers, acquisition, and corporate restructuring. The programme is designed to be delivered online on weekends for 10 months and includes expert lectures by industry-experienced faculty from IIMs, case studies of successful and failed ideas, hands-on practicals, modeling, simulations, and projects. At the end of the programme, participants will have the skills and knowledge required to enter the investment banking industry with confidence.

Admission Criteria
Eligibility and Selection
- Graduates (10+2+3) or Diploma Holders (only 10+2+3) from a recognized university (UGC/AICTE/DEC/AIU/State Government/recognized international universities) in any discipline.
- By the start of the programme, candidates must hold at least 1+ years of professional
work experience (after graduation). - Selections will be based on a detailed Profile in the candidate’s own words, elaborating on their Academic record, Profile, Designation, Salary, Roles, Responsibilities, Job Description, and a write-up on “Expectations from the Programme”.
